Started in 2006, Spirit Day has become anannual tradition at Westwood. The day consists of the students being placedinto four teams; red, yellow, green and blue, and then competing in events tosee who will be the champion team of the year. Students stay with their teamfor all four of their years at Westwood.

Students compete in events ranging from cardboardboat race to pop chugging to poster contests to tricycle races. A fun day forall that has become a big part of being a student at Westwood. The end of eachspirit day sees the students assemble in the gym to find out the years championand to see who wins the years big prizes.

Teams also compete in charity events throughout theyear to see which team can raise the most for the chosen charity. This Marchwill see us do a Food Bank challenge to see which team can raise the most fooddonations.

Spirit Day is a fun day for staff and students thathas grown into a way for our students to enjoy themselves and give to thosethat are less fortunate.
